The Galaxy is a well engineered system uniquely designed to capture the needs and requirements of the client by enhancing stability, postural control and pressure relief. The Galaxy became an award winning cushion in 2008 after receiving the Medtrade Merit Award which was granted to a product that best exemplified improvements for quality of life.

Cushion:

• Pelvic supports - a supporting area that gently adducts the trochanters creating a hydrostatic environment around the sitting tissues

• Adductors - gently pushes femurs to the midline of the cushion

• Coccyx/perineum relief - voided areas to keep excess pressures away from problematic areas

• Pre-ischial ridge - posterior sloped air cells prevents forward migration

• Abductor - built-in pommel for abduction of the knees to work in concert with the femur troughs

• Femur troughs - a sculpted region to help position the thighs in a medial-lateral placement

• Made from high quality and flame resistant latex free neoprene rubber

• 24 month manufacturers limited warranty

Set up:

• Set up like a traditional single valve air cushion but carrying this out x4 times for each separate valve in each corner.  This allows you to get specific positioning with each inflation to assist with postural control and maximise function.
